A great pair of early 1800s yew wood candlesticks, with bulbous shaped sticks. Yew wood is slow-growing and so would have been highly desirable and very expensive when they were crafted. The colour, condition and patina are excellent – a testament to how precious these are (and were). They measure 16cm h x 9cm w.
