A rare dated knitting needle holder and knitting sheath both having the initials WW and the date 1852.
The knitting sheath is intricately decorated with chip carving, an open lantern with a ball, a chain all carved from one piece of wood, small repair to the first link which is attached to the sheath. Lovely knitting sheath in its own right but rare to still remain together with  the knitting needle holder used to stick the points of the knitting needles in with the same date and initials,
