A rare 18th century fruitwood apple corer . This is a great piece of treen with chip carved decoration and a heart on the front. It has obviously been used alot as in places it is smooth where the decorationis. Lovely slim proportions- a great piece.
It measures 12.5cm l x 1.7cm d.
These scoops were to enable people to eat raw apples when they had lost their teeth.
