An antique Scottish snuff box , stamped with the makers name Smiths Mauchline Manufacturers to his Majesty, along with the royal coat of arms, on the lead paper lining on the lid inside. It looks to be made from burr amboyna and has an intergral wooden hinge, typical of the Scottish made boxes.
Smith's were a  family run manufacturers in Mauchline, Ayrshire.  from around the 1820s upto 1933.
This snuff box measures 9.5cm w x  4.5cm d x 3.2cm h.
