This is a great  19th century french ebony engine turned  snuff box by J A Barne. Probably commerorating both the tricentenary and bicentenary respectively of both Shakespeare and Handel.
 
 It has Guiliemus  Shakespeare, the name on his baptism records from the parish where he was born, on the front pannel and  the name George Fredric Handel  along with a carving of him.on the other side.
Really good crisp features to both men.
It measures 7cm w.
