This is an antique C19th treen pap boat, beautifully carved on the top with with foliage and the the word 'Grindelwald', a Swiss village, and on the base is a carved leaf. It has a well shaped handle.
Pap boats were shallow boat-shaped feeding vessels used in the 17th century to the 19th century to feed semi-liquid food know as 'pap' to infants, invalids or the elderly.
