A 19th century Tunbridge Ware puzzle, unusually still retaining its original instructions.
It consists of an inlaid mosaic box with seven pieces of wood, a square, a parallelogram and five trianles. These can be used to make numerous figures, animals, objects etc, approx 3000 can apparently be made. All seven pieces must be used for each figure. The box measures 5cm w x 5cm d x 1.8cm h.
This was manufactures by J R Clarke 137 late 26 Trafalgar Street London and at Crystal Palace Sydenham.
