A very nice early 19th century rosewood case with lid sundial and compass manufacture of the early XIX century, placed in its little The compass card with sixteen points, complete with daylight hours in Roman numerals printed on paper by engraving on copper plate and a small gnomon at the centre, which is slightly bent at the very tip, is mounted inside the concave protective dome. Orienting the compass towards the north the gnomon casts a shadow on the hour scale. Diameter 5.4cm, height 2cm.
