This is a dated Folk Art knitting sheath from the Durham area. It is decorated with inlaid diamonds, criss cross decoration and it has a glazed window behind which is a hand written note "Esteem the Giver 1845'. It has a white metal cap to one end.
It measures 21.5cm l x 1.8cm w x 1.8cm d.
