A 19th century finely carved Welsh Lovespoon carved from one piece of wood with a key hole to the top. The key hole represents. security or 'i will look after you'. There is a carved diamond  on the handle which symbolises wealth or good fortune. It also has two open lanterns with ten carved balls inside which symbolise love held safe or the number of children a suitor desires.
