An early 1800s Welsh snuff box. It is decorated with chip-carved decoration on the top, the sliding  lid has an inset glass pannel behind is a piece of golf foil or gold leaf which appears to have a pattern or maybe an impression on it, but it is difficult to make out. Usually behind a piece of glass is something the owner treasured.
On the back of the snuff box is  a flower.
The box measures 7cm w x 4.5cm d x 2.7cm h.
