Take a Closer Look!
It's not every day you come across an antique oak wall hanging/candle box which is dated, especially with an 18th century date 1752........
It has both lovely carving to the front sliding lid and also stamped decoration to it. It even has the original iron metal locking plate to the reverse of the lid which slots into the base, where originally it would then been locked, to protect the precious contents, probably candles,( beeswax ones were very expensive and were for the rich , churches or for special events), now some string or an old peg would suffice.
This great box measures 38.5cm h x 21cm w x 8.2cm d.
